On April 28, 2022, the National Day of Mourning, SEIU Healthcare was proud to unveil a monument at our head office dedicated to all Ontario healthcare workers and their sacrifices.

The monument was created by internationally recognized and award-winning artist Patrick Bermingham. It depicts a woman putting on her scrubs and gown as if it’s her armour and she’s going into battle.

At the unveiling, we remembered six SEIU Healthcare members who died from COVID-19 or other work-related illnesses or injuries. Friends, families and colleagues of these members were on hand to speak and share their memories.
